PAPUA — The Central Headquarters Management of the West Papua National Liberation Army urges all diplomats and factions of the freedom struggle both at home and abroad to immediately unite under the foundation of the West Papua state constitution of December 1, 1961 and July 1, 1971.
The General Operations Commander of the West Papua National Liberation Army, Major General Lekagak Telenggen, conveyed this call through an official statement from the headquarters in Puncak Ilaga. TPNPB assesses that division and the formation of factions running independently only slow down the achievement of the independence of the Papuan nation.
TPNPB asks the diplomats who are in the United States, Britain, Australia, the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, the Pacific region, Europe, and throughout the world to immediately sit together. TPNPB asserts that figures such as Benny Wenda, John Anary, Sebby Sambom, Amatus Douw, Jefry Bomanak, and all diplomats must subject themselves to the legitimate legal foundation.
TPNPB highlights the humanitarian situation at home with more than 122,931 civilian refugees displaced due to the armed conflict. TPNPB criticizes diplomats abroad who are deemed not to understand the suffering of the people in the land of Papua.
TPNPB even threatens to issue a motion of no confidence as well as replace the names of freedom fighters abroad if this call for unity is ignored. TPNPB asks all parties to stop the ambition of seizing the positions of president, minister, and cabinet abroad before independence is truly seized.
Major General Lekagak Telenggen asserts that the recognition of a rival president abroad does not have a strong basis before the colonial state of Indonesia recognizes the independence of the Papuan nation. TPNPB through 36 Defense Regional Commands across the Land of Papua states it remains consistent in fighting in the battlefields against the Indonesian military.
