PAPUA - The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) issued a firm statement regarding the position of Indonesian immigrant citizens in the land of Papua. TPNPB considers all Indonesian immigrant citizens in Papua to be part of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) as well as the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) disguised by the central government.
​The assertion was conveyed directly by TPNPB Spokesman, Sebby Sambom, Sunday (13/9/2026). "It is no longer allowed to kill civilians, but civilians can still be targets if they are part of agents of the Colonial Government," said Sebby Sambom.
​Sebby Sambom stated that anyone who understands the concepts of colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism certainly very much understands the meaning of illegal occupation in the Papua region.
​"If everyone in this world who has knowledge about Colonialism, Capitalism and Imperialism, then they very much understand the word illegal occupation," said Sebby Sambom.
​TPNPB also considers the presence of laypeople in the land of Papua to be similar to the arrival of foreigners who occupy the ancestral land of the Papua nation unilaterally. In fact, TPNPB considers the legal argument currently applying to be placing the status of Indonesian immigrants as colonizers.
​"So the legal argument is that the status of all Indonesian immigrants in Papua is colonizers who come to Papua to colonize Native Papuans, so the legal obligation is all actors and agents of colonizers must be killed, no matter whether civilians or military, what is more important has been identified that they are Indonesian immigrants," asserted Sebby Sambom.
​Meanwhile, TPNPB asserted that all people from outside Papua who reside in Papua are basically part of the disguised Indonesian Security Forces.
​TPNPB also stated the position of indigenous Papuans is already very unanimous to rise up and carry out resistance against colonialism. "And the position of Native Papuans is very clear that indigenous residents rise up and fight colonizers, so all viruses must be cleaned," added Sebby Sambom. (One Papua)
