TPNPB Issues Strict Ultimatum Against Airlines and Ships Transporting Military

PAPUA - The West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) issued a strict order to crack down on airlines and ships found to be transporting Indonesian military members to the Papua region. TPNPB threatened to shoot pilots, aircraft, and ships proven to facilitate Indonesian military mobilization.

TPNPB Spokesperson Sebby Sambom stated this call was taken after monitoring was conducted by the Papua Intelligent Service (PIS) TPNPB on transportation activity modes in the region. This ultimatum was called part of TPNPB's effort in respecting international humanitarian law toward parties failing to obey previous warnings.

"TPNPB issues an order to shoot dead pilots and aircraft and ships found transporting military especially the names mentioned below. Civil aircraft performing public service without transporting military that have already committed please serve because it is a public service," stated Sebby Sambom, Friday (8/7/2026).

TPNPB specifically mentioned several companies entering their monitoring radar, namely Smart Aviation, Susi Air, NGA, Trigana Air, Lion Air, and also ships. TPNPB re-emphasized this threat is given to airlines and shipping companies still acting stubbornly.

TPNPB also provided an exception for civil aircraft purely serving public interests and not involved in transporting Indonesian military members. TPNPB allowed airlines fully committed to humanitarian service to continue operating as usual.

TPNPB also committed to continuously monitoring activity in the field to ensure no violations are committed by these transportation companies. (One Papua)
