TOLIKARA - Management of the Central Headquarters of the West Papua National Liberation Army National Command (TPNPB) issued a firm ultimatum to the Indonesian government's military intelligence agents in Tolikara Regency to immediately stop all their activities, following a series of cleansing operations launched since early August 2026.
The TPNPB military operations in the region were directly led by the TPNPB Operations Commander of the XXVIII Yambi Defense Regional Command (Kodap), Major Lerimayu Enumbi, together with the TPNPB General Operations Commander, Major General Lekagak Telenggen. The attack on five Indonesian government military intelligence agents disguised as construction workers in Tolikara on August 2 to 3, 2026 was said to be a direct order from General Goliath Tabuni and Major General Lekagak Telenggen.
TPNPB conveyed a stern warning to all Indonesian immigrant residents who work as construction workers, meatball vendors, vegetable sellers, and various other professions who enter the TPNPB operational area. TPNPB stated that it is ready to execute to death anyone indicated as part of the Indonesian government's military intelligence network in the red zone.
TPNPB also appealed to the Indigenous Papuan community to maintain a safe distance from the Indonesian military apparatus in armed conflict areas for the sake of personal safety. TPNPB even emphasized that local residents seen eating together, walking, or living side by side with the Indonesian military apparatus will be branded as spies and ready to be executed to death if found in the field.
General Goliath Tabuni and Major General Lekagak Telenggen emphasized that all infrastructure development projects by the Indonesian government on the Land of Papua must be totally stopped. Anyone, both immigrant residents and Indigenous Papuans, who defiantly resist and are involved in the construction of roads, bridges, houses, offices, and other public facilities in the conflict zone is certain to become a legitimate target in TPNPB military operations, as conveyed by Lerimayu Enumbi, Thursday (8/6/2026).
TPNPB also reminded Indigenous Papuans never to blame TPNPB if undesirable things happen, given that this official warning has been issued long before the incident occurred.
The Management of the Central Headquarters of Komnas TPNPB explained that the TPNPB intelligence network has been widely spread across all civilian and military realms. Therefore, TPNPB urged Indigenous Papuans working as Indonesian government military intelligence agents or involved in the infrastructure development mission in the Land of Papua to immediately resign and stop those activities.
TPNPB stated that it will not hesitate to take firm action against Indonesian immigrant residents because they were said to have been trained by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) as part of Police Assistance and the Reserve Component. These reserve forces are specifically trained regarding military tactics and intelligence missions before being deployed to certain assignment areas.
TPNPB re-emphasized that all immigrant residents should immediately leave the armed conflict areas in the Land of Papua because there is no security guarantee for them. (One Papua)
